“Jolta are fine purveyors of dirty, sweat-soaked riffs, filthy fuzzed-up rhythms and gargantuan hooks, complete with a whole truckload of screw-you rock ‘n’ roll attitude.”
Greetings, Jägermeister fans! Welcome to our new JägerMusic blog. Here you can find everything JägerMusic related, upcoming Jäger tours, bands on our roster, the Jäger Stage and more.
An Ice Cold Shot Of... Jolta
JOLTA have existed as a band for less than a year, but you’d be hard pressed to believe it from listening to their debut EP, Sunset Surrender, out in April. With a firm nod to the greats of 60s and 70s rock, these guys manage to take the garage rock genre and drag it kicking and screaming into the 21st Century.
Sunset Surrender is a journey through the ages with echoes of everything from blues to 90s grunge, all accumulating in a scuzzy rock attack that still feels undeniably modern. This Brighton based four piece are the newest addition to the Jägermeister Music roster, and we can’t get enough of their foot-stomping swagger. Expect big things from these young upstarts.
For fans of: The Dead Weather, Black Keys, Jack White
Ice Cold Titbit(s): JOLTA all live together and have turned their attic into a fully converted studio, where they write all their music. The landlord has no idea... well, until now, perhaps!
Vocalist Oliver once woke up after a show and had a mental block as to where he had parked the van. After walking around for four hours trying to find it, he returned to the venue to deliver the bad news, only to find it parked outside the venue with the rest of the band still asleep in it!
